There are two options for citizenship offered by Grenada. Investing in a project that the government has approved is one option to apply for citizenship. Another option is to contribute to its national fund.
Real Estate option
Citizenship by purchase is available to anyone who is prepared to buy an authorized piece of real estate in Grenada. USD 220,000 is the minimum investment amount. Both candidates without a family and those applying with one are eligible for the same sum. Upon becoming a citizen, an applicant may choose to sell the property they have acquired after five (5) years. Separate payment is required for the processing and government costs.
Donation option
By contributing at least USD 150,000 to Grenada’s national transformation fund, one can apply for Grenadian citizenship. If the primary candidate applies with their spouse and children, the donation cost rises to USD 200,000. The processing fee and the government fee are paid separately.
All individuals who are older than eighteen (18) years old are eligible to submit an application. It is also acceptable for some family members to apply as dependents. On the list are:
- Husband or wife
- Minor child.
- A physically or mentally challenged child above the age of eighteen (18) years.
- A child between the age of eighteen to thirty (18 – 30) years, only if the child attends an acknowledged university and is fully supported by the applicant.
- Parent(s) / grandparent(s) of the applicant or the spouse, who are above the age of fifty-five (55) years.
- Proof of birth.
- Proof of nationality.
- Document to establish residential address.
